Recharging and Dissertations

February 28th is National Public Sleeping Day. So, recharge your batteries by catching some Z’s on the train, take a quick nap over your lunch break, or grab a few winks under a giant tree in the park. You’ll wake up energized and ready to take on your dissertation!…

Ever feel like you just don’t have time to work on your dissertation? It could be because you’re just too tired after tending to all of your other priorities throughout the day.

Maybe you should join noted nappers Thomas Edison, John F. Kennedy, Albert Einstein, Winston Churchill, and Leonardo da Vinci for a late-morning or early-afternoon siesta.

A proper power nap is only 10-20 minutes long but energizes you so that you feel alert and productive throughout the rest of the day. Be careful though, more is less in this case. Extending your power nap to just 30 minutes can leave you hungover and loopy.

So catch a few Z’s this afternoon and see how much more energy you have to tackle your dissertation this evening.
